Atavica Details

We're four pals who know each other from our Dublin days. That big thing that happened back in 2020 made us think about our futures, and that led us to Italy.

After a few years helping our friend, Gino, make natural wine in his home cantina in northern Tuscany, we thought maybe we should give it a go ourselves.

In 2024, we became the proud owners of a 17-hectare organic farm in Maremma, a wild and beautiful stretch of southern Tuscany. Fun fact: It’s the region where wine was first cultivated in Italy by the legendary, bad ass Etruscans. Our labels were even inspired by them, thanks to the creative genius of @roberto_rup_paolini

We produce low-intervention, organic-certified natural wines, and extra virgin olive oil. Why natural? Because it’s an honest expression of nature and seasonality. When you let grapes do their thing without intervening too much, you end up with beautifully unique characteristics. And they’re ever-changing from year to year. We're also advocates for the transparency that the natural wine world stands for.
